| This course provides Flight Standards Aviation Safety Inspectors (ASIs) a knowledge-based component, which is primarily in a lecture and discussion format comprising in-depth instruction on 14 CFR Part 135 operators' maintenance programs, including MEL/CDL, training, recordkeeping, audit, and maintenance and inspection programs, maintenance facilities, parts and parts borrowing, contract maintenance providers, and weight and balance programs. There is also a performance-based component, where participants will apply their knowledge to a series of practical exercises, which will allow participants to experience the tasks involved in certification and surveillance activities related to these technical topics. | |||
