INACTIVE. 20130 is replaced by 22000090 Software Job Functions: Software Life Cycle (with the prerequisites of 27200090 Software and Airborne Electronic Hardware Fundamentals and FAA21016 Part 21). Course provides engineers with foundational software concepts and principles. This course does not provide procedures or information on how to do the job. Content: Overview of the System Life Cycle; the SW Life Cycle; and the SW Development Process. Course discusses FAA role in each area and presents high-level information on DO-178C, the guidance used by FAA to evaluate an applicant's software development. Method of instruction include lecture, student participation in practical exercises, collaborative discussions, and exams.
