| This course is primarily designed for recurrent qualification and standardization of aviation safety inspectors and other agency flight personnel whose official duties require them to evaluate industry pilots using night vision goggles as a visual aid during flight. N0TE: The Aviation Safety Inspector, Operations (ASI OPS) must hold at least a Commercial Pilot Certificate with Rotorcraft-Helicopter or an ATP Rotorcraft-Helicopter rating . The Flight Activity & Crew Tracking System (FACTS) must reflect the appropriate pilot qualifications. PREREQ: Must be EBC current in helicopters prior to attendance, which includes a formal helicopter flight course. NOTE: Due to the unique demands of NVG flight training, this course cannot be used to meet initial helicopter category formal flight training. It will not count as a formal helicopter category flight course for continued currency at the completion of this course. Updated NOTE 9/17/2010. | |||
