This course is for airworthiness (avionics) inspectors. Subject areas include altimetry problems, physics of the atmosphere, atomospheric measurement standards, units and dimensions, types of barometers and manometers, Solid-State barometric techniques, installation calibration, correction and acceptable maintenance practices relative to barometer installations, standard procedures used in the connection with pressurE observations, reduction of pressure altimetry aircraft pitot static systems, altimeters, air speed indicators, etc. PRIMARILY FOR INSPECTORS CONCERNED WITH RESPONSIBILITY FOR CERTIFICATION AND SURVEILANCE OF REPAIR STATIONS USING BAROMETRIC EQUIPMENT.
