Advanced General Aviation Accident Investigation The course is designed to present an historical look at the previous years' trends in contributing factors to general aviation aircraft accidents. It will also allow aviation accident investigators to review in-depth case studies from current federal and manufacturer air safety investigators. Each case study will review the accident investigation process from notification through final reporting. It will also address key aircraft accident investigation signatures; lessons learned during the accident investigation, and introduce new trends in accident investigation methods. The following organizations might present current aircraft accident case studies. Students from the FAA and other federal agencies, aviation industry, and foreign governments will attend this course together. This recurrent training course is primarily designed for FAA personnel who have a responsibility for participation in or support of investigations of general aviation aircraft accidents and incidents. It is also recommended for other Federal agency and industry safety professionals who need training in advanced topics in aircraft accident investigation.
