Utilizing RTCAs security documents DO-326A, DO-355 and, DO-356A this course describes what Airworthiness Security is and why it is important. It also explains which FAA Regulations, standards, etc. will require these documents and procedures as well as how to use these standards. The course also covers what the standards are meant to prevent and how these standards and processes fit into the aviation system. Course participants are given examples of how to apply these standards methodically using step-by-step processes. This course also covers how these requirements are driven by Design Assurance Level requirements and systems/functional critically, as well as how to obtain FAA certification in these areas. The students will perform real-world exercises to apply the knowledge from the class.
