INACTIVE. Replaced with FAA22800010 Aircraft Certification Basics (ACB) This module is the first of three modules in the Aircraft Certification Basics Curriculum. Module 1 introduces the learner to FAA history, organizational structure, statutory authority, structural, systems, software, propulsion and aerodynamic engineering principles, airworthiness regulations Part 21, 23, 25, 33, 34, 35, 45, 47, and accident lessons learned as they apply to the topics, aircraft certification methods i.e. TC/PC/TSO, PMA, types of aircraft operations, continued airworthiness and the types and uses of the Designated Engineering Representatives, Designated Airworthiness Representatives and Organizational Designation Authorization. Module 1 is held on-line and consist of 4-hours of instruction for 10 workdays. Target Audience(s): ASE hired after July 2020. Prerequisite(s): None (Aircraft Certification Basics Curriculum).
