| The intent is to provide an overview of FAA policies and procedures relating to Airman Medical Certification Standards and to selection, training, and oversight of Aviation Medical Examiners (AMEs). The FAA material can be augmented by local resources to cover all topics recommended in ICAO Annex 1 as comprising initial AME training and can be modified to act as AME refreshed training. FAA staff will work closely with requestors to tailor a course to meet their training objectives. This is a configurable course, ranging from 2-5 days in length, depending on requestor needs. | |||
