FAA27100153:   (27100153) GA AW Voluntary Programs

FAA27100153 Active
(27100153) GA AW Voluntary Programs
COURSE 2010-06-09
The course objective is to provide new General Aviation Airworthiness (GA AW) Aviation Safety Inspectors with knowledge about specific voluntary reporting programs. Because voluntary programs are not mandatory, ASIs do not evaluate an operators use of them in the same way that they evaluate other operator programs (i.e., through certification and surveillance). However, there are ASI responsibilities when an operator first begins a voluntary program and later when the program is up and running. GA airworthiness ASIs analyze the data submitted through voluntary programs and accept or reject the disclosure.
