This course provides some guidance on the regulatory requirements for developing engine Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA). The following topics will be discussed in this course: development of engine ICA guidance, documents that comprise a complete set of engine ICA, elements included in a written program for ICA completion, acceptable language and access, ICA distribution program elements, engine ICA Changes, items to include in the Airworthiness Limitations Section, and AC 33.4-1 conflicting guidance. The objectives for this course are: Explain the development of the Engine Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA), Define what constitutes a complete set of engine ICA, Explain the ICA Distribution Program, Identify the Airworthiness Limitations Section, and Identify the inconsistencies of AC 33.4-1 with 14 CFR 21.50(b) and AC 33.3(b). Internal Audience: This course is intended for AIR DER Managing Specialist and Engineering OMT members managing designees authorized in Propulsion.
