| This course is designed to provide an introduction to FAA Order 8120.23 and performing a Quality System Audit (QSA). Participants will develop an understanding of key features of a QSA and QSA fundamentals such as team roles, scope, and system elements. In addition, participants will gain a basic understanding of the roles/responsibilities, activities, and techniques when planning and conducting a QSA. The knowledge gained in this course is expanded and applied in the next course, QSA Part 2 (21415). This course is a self-paced 16-hour Blackboard (BB) Web-Based Training (WBT) which must be completed prior to arriving for the resident portion FAA21415 Quality System Audit (QSA) Part 2. This course is mandatory for certification personnel responsible for performing and participating in QSA in accordance with AIR Order 8120.23, Certificate Management of Production Approval Holders.
