This course will provide a summary of the FAA's expectations and unique considerations when a certification project involves additively manufactured parts and articles. You will learn about the following topics: Part 21 Requirements when implementing additive manufacturing (AM), Part Criticality and Scaled Degree of Rigor, and Airworthiness Standards Considerations including Material and Process (M&P) Controls, Strength Properties and Design Values, Structural Substantiation, Flammability, and Maintenance. Internal Audience: This course is intended for AIR DER Managing Specialist and Engineering OMT members managing designees authorized in Structures.
