| The course addresses OPMs Executive Core Qualifications for senior executives and provide participants with the knowledge and skills needed to successfully apply political savvy in the workplace. Participants will be able to: Identify the internal and external politics that impact the work of the organization. Perceives organizational and political reality and acts accordingly. Demonstrate an understanding of the DOT mission, functions, systems and policy agenda. Demonstrate an understanding of the climate and culture of DOT, such as its formal and informal power structures. Identify, build, influence, and strengthen internal and external networks. Understand how to manage interests of external groups with DOT goals and objectives. Understand own impact on situations and people. | |||
