This course includes eight hours of time devoted to complete (88985001) SURFACE WEATHER SYSTEM (SWS) DoP (DD81). Lecture subjects include: Overview of the SWS inside the NAS, theory, operation and maintenance of the SWS's sensors (UWS, MARS and BPs). It also includes the DCPs' DINRAIL, Power supplies, MPB, Daughterboards and DCP Processor; UHF Radio, CDP, and its associated screens and peripherals (to include driving various displays for DASIs, WEFs, WMEs and SAWS). Laboratory subjects include: Maintenance, troubleshooting, and component interfacing on all systems/subsystems of the SWS system.
