THIS COURSE COVERS THE ACQUISITION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (AMS) REQUIREMENT FOR INTEGRATED LOGISTICS SUPPORT (ILS) IN THE NAS AND IS INTENDED FOR ALL AUDIENCES FROM FAA EXECUTIVES TO NEW EMPLOYEES. THE COURSE IS 24 HOURS CORRESPONDENCE STUDY WHICH ALLOWS STUDENTS TO TAKE IT REMOTELY ON THEIR OWN TIME AND AT THEIR OWN PACE. THE COURSE WILL INTRODUCE INTEGRATED LOGISTICS SUPPORT CONCEPTS AND THE AGENCIES DEFINITION OF ILS, AS SPECIFIED IN AMS. THE COURSE WILL IDENTIFY AND CLARIFY RECENT AMS CHANGES IN ILS REQUIREMENTS; SHOW THE IMPACT OF ILS ON INDIVIDUAL PROGRAMS AND THE NAS; DEFINE AND REVIEW THE LOGISTICS ELEMENTS, PROVIDING STUDENTS THE KNOWLEDGE OF WHAT THE REQUIREMENTS ARE AND WHERE TO GET LOGISTICS INFORMATION AND SUPPORT. THERE IS A FINAL EXAM AT THE END OF THE COURSE THAT COVERS THE ENTIRE COURSE.
