This course covers maintenance concepts of the NAS in the FAA. The course contains 14 lessons and an end-of-course exam. Subjects include definitions, technical documentation (reporting and record forms, and maintenance logs), technical cognizance and facility maintenance requirements and procedures, use of facility maintenance forms, technical evaluations and inspections, joint acceptance, flight inspections, procedures for scheduled and unscheduled service interruptions and restoration, protection of agency property and personnel and certification of all FAA facilities and services. This course utilizes Order 6000.15H, General Maintenance Handbook for NAS Facilities, use the link embedded in Blackboard to access the H version. Upon completion of this course, it is recommended that the student take 6000.15J Delta Briefing (FAA44532003) which is available in eLMS and will cover the gaps between the 6000.15H course and the 6000.15J policy.
