| This course provides training for Technical Operations Personnel who maintain the Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS) Master Station (WMS). This course will be an Instructor Led course taught at the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center and includes 40 hours of lecture and 40 hours of laboratory. The lecture subjects include Introduction to WAAS, WAAS Directives, Power Distribution, Terrestrial Communications Subsystem, RF Assemblies, Data Collection Processing Subsystem, and Troubleshooting Procedures. Laboratory subjects include Communication Node and Correction and Verification (C&V) Familiarization, Switch Configuration, GPS Clock, Corrections Processor familiarization and Troubleshooting. This course will consist of two exams, a Hands-on Laboratory Practical Exam and an End of Course Written Exam. The course material will be accessed through the Web-based Training (WBT) Blackboard platform. Individuals enrolled in the training will have the ability to download the pdf student guide and a hard copy of the laboratory exercises will be provided during the scheduled offering. The 2-hour End of Course exam will be conducted on the WBT Blackboard platform. | |||
