| This course provides familiarization for Airway Transportation Systems Specialists (ATSS's) and engineers working on Fujitsu FOTS equipment. This course supplements the Maintenance of Fiber Optic Transmission System (FOTS) course FAA40079001. The course will explain how the Fujitsu FOTS equipment operates, how it can be installed, and configured. ATSS's will spend time listening to explanations regarding the Fujitsu equipment and spend time in a lab with Fujitsu 4020 and 4100 equipment in order to gain hands on experience with performing routine tasks. Prerequisite: Course FAA45575001 Fiber Optic Concepts is a prerequisite for this course. This course is for ATSS's and engineers who are either maintaining or installing Fujitsu 4020 and 4100 equipment. This course is 20 hours lecture and 40 hours hands on laboratory training. | |||
