This course provides training for Specialists on the Medium intensity Approach Lighting Systems with Runway Alignment Indicator Lights (RAIL) Equipment. The course is 28 hours Academy Lecture, 52 hours Academy Laboratory. Lecture subjects include MALSR Layout, Theory of Operation for MALSR TYPES FA-10097, FA-10098, FA-10290, FA-11500, FA-17900, and FA-21000, with or without Remote Monitoring Subsystems (RMS), Remote Radio Control System Interface and 400 Volt Flasher. Academy Lab will include Hands-on Familiarization, System Operation, Troubleshooting and General Maintenance tasks required to maintain an operating MALSR System. *** ESQP AND CPR REQUIRED FOR THE DURATION OF COURSE***.
