| This course provides proficiency training for Engineers and AF Technicians on the Airport Surface Detection Equipment (ASDE) Model X. This OJT module will take approximately 58 hours. For sites with the Raytheon SMR, there will be approximately 16 hours of study time and approximately 42 hours of instructional time. For sites with the Sensis SMRi, there will be approximately 12 hours of study time and approximately 26 hours of instructional time. (Note: A 58 hour OJT course does not mean all training must be completed within 58 hours of the date that it was actually started. It may actually be broken up and performed over a longer time period.)Subjects include ASDE-X system health, troubleshooting, software verification, primary detection (SMR) and secondary detection (MLAT) maintenance, SMR fixed target and MLAT fixed target verification and display subsystem performance. | |||
