| This course is intended for Technicians and Service personnel working with INET Building Automation Systems. Students will be able to describe the basic components of HVAC and BMS systems, and the basics of automation system protocols. Students will identify recommended architecture strategies including how individual hardware and software components fit into system design. Students will learn about the functions of various hardware types and control boards, basic troubleshooting techniques, as well as the implementation standards of the controllers in a BMS system. Programming tools will be introduced. Folder structure, alarms, trends, and graphics are key areas to be presented. Fundamentals of alarm handling concepts and calendar and time schedule configuration will also be presented.
