The goal of this Web-Based Training (WBT) is to provide Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Spectrum Engineering Services employees with an overall understanding of what is Radio Frequency Engineering and an overall knowledge of the international and domestic rules that govern the use of the radio frequency spectrum both within the United States and internationally. The objectives of this WBT are (1) Describe the application of the radio frequency spectrum, (2) Describe the functions and composition of the international and national organizations that regulate the Radio Spectrum, (3) Describe the organizations with which the FAA Spectrum Office has a collaborative relationship, (4) Explain the purpose of the Spectrum Allocations Table, and (5) Explain how to read the Spectrum Allocations Table. An End-of-Course (EOC) measures the efficacy of knowledge and skill transfer.
