(49000001) Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning Systems: Sizing and Design
COURSE 2020-10-20
This course explores the design of HVAC systems that deliver comfort, energy efficiency and economic value. It starts with a brief review of heat transfer, refrigeration, and basic concepts of heating, cooling, and dehumidification. These concepts are extended to a variety of design methods and tools. Topics include HVAC equipment selection and specification, comfort and indoor air quality (IAQ), heat transfer in building assemblies, cooling load and heat loss calculations, air distribution system design, water distribution system design, design for energy efficiency, applicable industry standards, and economic evaluation Several complementary spreadsheet programs, which incorporate design and computation procedures are used during session workshops and are be available to participants.
