| Instructor Fundamentals Training (IFT): This course is for entry-level instructors assigned to deliver training. The course is delivered in a blended format: 1st module is delivered via web-based learning, 2nd module is face-to-face at FAA Training Facilities or at the FAA Academy in Oklahoma City. The course consists of computer and in-class instruction, workshop sessions, and practice teaching exercises. Participants will demonstrate the basic knowledge and skills required to effectively instruct a lesson during two presentations. Instruction includes understanding adults as learners, how to develop a lesson plan, informal/formal assessments techniques, developing visuals, classroom communication, leading in the class and how to be a savvy instructor. Basic skills in the use of personal computers, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Power Point are strongly recommended. | |||
