| This Maintenance Alert (MA) is to remind all Technical Operations personnel of the policy requirements to perform proper coordination/notification with the appropriate control centers when performing maintenance, scheduled and unscheduled on NAS equipment. Missed coordination deviates from Technical Operations policy but also removes the ability to plan for contingency operations, adding to the ATOs risk level. Coordination has also been a major focus area in the Operational Risk Management communications throughout the organization. The Maintenance Alert reminds Technical Operations personnel of their coordination/notification responsibilities and provides the documented policy requirements. Also, it provides a link to a capability currently available in the Technical Operations Toolbox (TOT) which allows managers to provide oversight of PM coordination/notification documentation required by their field personnel. | |||
