Participants will be qualified to work on any Class III O&M operation and response action to minor fiber release episodes. Course should include, but not be limited to, the following topics: Applicable FAA, federal, state and local regulations, Methods for handling Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM), Respiratory protection, Hands-on training for respirators, protection measures, and proper work practices. Regulations and Requirements:40 CFR 763, Subpart E, Appendix C, FAA Order 1050.20, Airway Facilities Asbestos Control, FAA Order 3900.19B, Chapter 15, Asbestos Control Program. Additionally, the class requires a 4 hour refresher every 12 months.
