| This course is designed for instructors with no prior teaching experience. It is conducted in Centralized Regional Training Facilities and at the FAA Academy in Oklahoma City. Classroom instruction includes Roles of an instructor, learning styles, presentation techniques, interactive learning activities, questioning skills, classroom management, using media, and using lesson plans. Students must select a lesson plan from their technical service for the presentations. They will personalize this lesson plan incrementally throughout the Blackboard and Face-to-Face portions of the class. Students present this lesson in 10-minute, 20-minute and 30-minute versions. Students are provided feedback from instructors and will implement improvements with each presentation. They are evaluated against established written criteria. Prerequisites: Completion of Blackboard Basics (10531001) is recommended. | |||
