| This course is used only in special circumstances. STS means, standard threshold shift. One example of this is when an average shift in either ear of 10 dB or more than 2,000, 3,000 and 4,000 hertz, special training needs to take place which includes: checking for adequate hearing protection to do the job. If the PPE needs to be replaced, the individual will be provided the PPE and retrained on how to appropriately use it and maintain it. If the shift turns out to be medically related, the employee must be evaluated by a physician. Drivers: This training must meet FAA Order 3900.19B, Chapter 21, and 29 CFR 1910.95. 1910.52 And 1926.101. | |||
