Upon completion of this class, participants will be able to: Understand policies and procedures as they relate to high voltage. Fulley understand the risk associated with exposure to voltages over 600 volts. Student will be able to identify HV circuits; determine what good work practices are; e.g. Sequence required to correctly ground a circuit, etc. Learn the appropriate PPE for HV as well as any special care the PPE requires. Be aware of any special conditions such as step voltages and site the importance and requirements when pre-planning a job. Be taught and demonstrate how and when to use special HV tools and test equipment. Be taught and demostrate how to safely discharge capacitors.
