This course provides training for the ARTCC technicians on the Voice Switching and Control System (VSCS) application software, operating system environment, database and DEO functions and operations. The course is 140 hours Academy Lecture and 140 hours of Academy Laboratory. Lecture subjects include Windows 2000 Operating System functionalities and utilities, performance monitoring, data collection, G/G typical call process, VSCS application software transactional operation, the VSCS database, and DEO operations. Laboratory subjects include performance monitoring, system utilities, data collection, gold disk recovery, power failure recovery, and DEO operations.
