| This course is a part of the Aviation Safety (AVS) and Service/Office Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) programs. This course is used to document the local office/facility site-specific Hazard Communication (HazCom) Review Training. The site-specific training will include: - The highlights of the written office HazCom plan; - The location and availability of the written office HazCom plan; which includes the local chemical inventory list; - Chemical labeling, - Location of the office's Safety Data Sheets (SDSs), A SDS must be available for every chemical used in the local office/facilty site-specific workspace. - Who manages the SDSs; and - Procedures used if SDSs are accessed electronically, if applicable. This is required for all employees at the time of their initial assignment to that office. Additionally, this training is required whenever a new physical or health hazard to the employees that they have not previously been trained on is introduced into their work area. It is recommended that these site-specific HazCom topics be refreshed annually during the training on the Occupant Emergency Plan/ Facility Security Plan. Upon completion of this office training, a copy of the training completion certificate or certified roster should be provided to the supervisor and/or training POC so completion can be entered into the employee's eLMS learning history. | |||
