COURSE REMOVED FROM NEW HIRE CURRICULA IN OCT 2012. THS SINGLE COURSE WAS REPLACED WITH A BLEND OF FOUNDATIONAL WEB-BASED TRAINING (WBT) COURSES AND PRACTICAL APPLICATION WORKSHOPS. The objective of this course is to provide basic training for new-hire airworthiness inspectors in the job tasks that pertain to both general and air carrier aviation. Training consists of lecture and classroom exercises to enhance the inspector's ability to perform tasks associated with certification and surveillance job functions. Subjects are common to both air carrier and general aviation airworthiness inspectors.
