The ARTCC Critical Essential Power Systems (ACEPS) Type ll Phase 2 course is 136 hours of Instructor-Led lecture and lab topics taught at the FAA Academy in Oklahoma City, OK. Lecture subjects include: Safety, System Overview, 125 Vdc Overview, AT30 Hindle Battery Charger, Kohler Engine Generators, E/G Maintenance, Veeder-Root TLS-450, APM 802, PCMS/Kohler System Overview, Phase 2 Switchgear Familiarization, Essential Service Bus, Essential-A Bus, Dual Main, Preventive Maintenance, Square D/Kohler SCADA, MasterPact MTZ & NW Breakers, Micrologic Trip Units, and Troubleshooting. Lab subjects include: E/G Component Identification, E/G Maintenance, APM 802 Operation, Veeder-Root TLS-450, APM 802 E/G Operation, APM 802 Removal & Replacement, APM 802 Troubleshooting, PCMS Component Identification, PCMS/SCADA Operation, Switchgear familiarization, MasterPact MTZ and NW Breaker familiarization, Micrologic Trip Units, Essential Service Component Identification, Essential-A Component Identification, Essential Bus AT-Controller, Dual Main Component identification, Preventive Maintenance, Kohler Component Identification, and Troubleshooting. All testing for this course is completed using Blackboard.
