This course provides the theory of operations training for the System Wide Information Management (SWIM) Flight Data Publication Service (FDPS). The specialist will gain knowledge of system concepts, interconnectivity, hardware and software components which comprise the System Wide Information Management (SWIM) Flight Data Publication Service (FDPS) system. SFDPS is a SWIM Implementation Program (SIP) that provides services to access EnRoute Automation Modernization (ERAM) data in accordance with SWIM SOA architecture, technologies and processes. Theory topics include system overview, installation start-up/shut-down, user account management, system monitoring and control, database management, failure management, configuration management and hardware/software maintenance, and system security. ands-on laboratory subjects include; identifying SFDPS main system components, installation, system startup/shutdown, requesting data, reconstitution, CMS messages, manage user accounts, switchover, control data , HADDS problem resolving, missing software resolution, detect unauthorized usage, and troubleshooting. The SFDPS System is the responsibility of the NAS Security & Enterprise Operations (NASEO) organization located at the Atlanta NEMC and Salt Lake City NEMC locations. The IT Specialist (Network Services) and Airway Transportation System Specialist (ATSS) - System Performance Specialist (SPS) personnel are assigned the SFDPS system duties.
